Easy to use and easy on the eye. I notice you mention about the iPlayer and I'm sure this is part of the soon-to-arrive stuff, but I wait for all BBC feeds to be available for the homepage. At least allow me to move the advert to the bottom of the page if it has to be there. Obviously the beeb are entitled to advertise their own wares on their own website, but the first thing i tried to 'customise' was the GIANT advert! I like the design feel, but it simply won't work with the quantity of content you typically provide.
A lick of paint for the BBC homepage
How clean and cool is that? Love the new look guys, good job well done. The colour change, from an IA point of view, seems to suggest that the content has changed - but it hasn't. I will set it as my home page and hope to see this glitch resolved soon. I just got back here and note that other people have had trouble posting to this blog as well as myself! I've been testing the iplayer from the very start of closed public testing, and it has come on leaps and bounds, especially with the introduction of streaming services - just after I'd moved over to a Mac as well!
God-des And She - Lick It ( L Word) Lyrics | MetroLyrics
Lick it up, lick it up, Oh! Give us more of a clue I have set a number of options so the page is lob-sided with a load of content on the LHS of the page and a gaping hole in the middle! This was undoubtedly a serious challenge to take up and one which has been carried out successfully by you all. Keep up the good work but dont dumb it down too much please.
The writing is too large, I could quickly scan the page at a glance on the last design but this leaves the words too spaced out. I am quite computer literate so I understand what this means but for a not-so-experienced user, this may cause confusion - they may not know what a "query" is. This trend essentially abstracts the content from its presentation and distribution, atomizing content into a feed-based universe. I think it is really nice. If you click on a story it goes to the wrong one.
